In D&T Oak Class stepped back in time to the Stone Age, creating their own roundhouses with thatched hay roofs! Who knew prehistoric building could be this 'hay'-mazing? @BFS_Watford @HeadBeechfield

Last week in D&T, Year 3 took a step back in time and built their very own Stone Age teepees, using sticks and leaves! Who knew ancient architecture could be so fun? 🌿🍂@HeadBeechfield @BFS_Watford

In Science, the children sorted rocks like slate, limestone, and granite based on properties such as texture, permeability, buoyancy, and layering. They enjoyed the experiment and recorded their findings in a results table to compare their observations. @HeadBeechfield

In D&T, the children created detailed drawings of Stone Age homes, marking a great start to our new topic. We can’t wait to bring these designs to life in the coming weeks! @HeadBeechfield @BFS_Watford

In Oak Class we explored the important values of respect and kindness. The children created ‘Buckets of Kindness’. where they reflected on ways, they could show respect to others and shared personal moments when children in the class had shown them kindness. @BFS_Watford
