Today, year 6 combined DT and science by making bedside lamps, complete with circuits. The children researched existing products before designing, making and evaluating their own. @Inspire_Ashton @Inspire_DT @_InspireScience

We had a very special visitor in school today. Santa kindly read Christmasaurus and gave us each a selection box. We are so ready for Christmas! @Inspire_Ashton @TrustVictorious

This afternooon, year 6 continued out @_InspireScience unit on electricity. We made circuits, using iPads to investigate what variables affect the brightness of a bulb. @Inspire_Ashton @TrustVictorious @Inspire_Compute

6B got to experience a mock trial today as the greater Manchester Magistrates delivered a fantastic session. We talked about how evidence is presented in court and the damage that cyber-bullying can cause. It gave us all lots to think about. @Inspire_Ashton @TrustVictorious

In preparation for our report on the Victorians, we’ve been on a fact hunt. Walking around key stage 2, we found information about Victorian schools. @Inspire_Ashton @_InspireEnglish @TrustVictorious @InspireHistory

Year 6 had a brilliant trip to Portland Basin today. We discussed Tameside’s history and got a chance to experience a Victorian classroom. What a way to start the half term! @Inspire_Ashton @TrustVictorious @InspireHistory
