Asked my year 2 class what they did during half term. One child told me she played in her paddling pool so I replied that I love paddling pools. She then told me I was too big to fit in hers. 😂😫 Got to love how honest 6 year olds are!

Many soon to be ECTs are asking what they should buy for their new class. Don't spend your own money on anything! The things that you NEED the school will provide. As you go through the year there may be little extras you want to invest in wait & see . Don't waste your money now.

What many children need to catch up on is: seeing their grandparents, uncles, aunties and cousins; time spent physically with their friends; time to explore new places and try new things; time without a screen or an adult agenda. They need longer summer hols not shorter ones.
