@MissESGeography We were having a similar discussion in september. HoD had done London at a previous school. Ultimately we've stuck to Bristol as its also our human geography fieldtrip location 😊

Currently planning our 'UK city' lessons for the Urban Issues and Challenges topic at GCSE. I have always used Bristol but am considering switching to London/Liverpool this year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!🥰

@MissKGeography Same - the time I spent on Y10 EoU feedback explaining that just coz you mentioned it you don't get full marks... 🫠 Gonna get on with this over the Xmas hols I think for KS4, just about dragging my butt through the next 3wks as it is!!

@missgeog92 I'm with you! Still got pp1 and pp2 to finish for y11. Got 10 alevel geog papers and 14 alevel sociology papers about to appear in my classroom any moment ...

@pumpkinfaeries Thats what i was thinking! Mine are just not getting enough detail in their explanations and have a habit of making multiple points, i wonder if getting them to identify explanations someone else has done would help them see what they need to be doing..

@MissKGeography My dept is starting to look at stuff like this to support extended writing - more the steps and not the content, but can see this as faded scaffolding as the prompts are reduced to steps to acronyms... ✌️💚🌍

6th form/ Alevel teachers, what do you do with/for students witb low attendance? Already my y13s are dropping off and we are only in term 2!?..

Uni offers coming in for 6th formers is always a great part of the job!!
