* and there are other reasons, of course, like navigating the challenges of living with chronic illness in a very physically demanding job, not having complete creative autonomy, no actual weekends off… And I still love the magic of filmmaking and the collaborative process- but I’m able to fill that via vtubing so if I can also have a life that is better for my body, my health and family, then of course I’m going to want to pursue the path that allows that ❤️

Now that I’m nearing the end of the film, I’m starting to reflect on the life balance of streaming and life as a designer- I truly love my life as a streamer. And while I still enjoy film, nothing fills my heart with joy quite like Vtubing. And it’s bc you don’t realize what a treasure having downtime is, until you work 18hr days for months and having a moment to just *relax* seems like a luxury. And for me, I choose quality of life after years of being denied it. I really can’t wait to go back to the Diner regularly again ❤️ But first CARRIERCON THIS WEEKEND WOOOO

I've literally worked 16-18 hr work days this past week and this weekend was my first time off in two weeks- it felt SO GOOD to stream- streaming & content creation is challenging at times, yes, especially if you're pursuing it as a career but damn, if it ain't just freaking fun to hang out with people from all over the world and laugh. I've got two weeks left of production on the film, then straight into CarrierCon and then back to being at the Diner consistently! And I can't wait!!
