Australia's Great Barrier Reef will likely disappear because of climate change, according to @Science_Academy. Just 1.5°C of warming (on track for 2025 at current emission levels) would threaten 70-90% of coral reefs globally. At 2°C of warming, just 1% of reefs survive.

A great display of De Bono's thinking hats. Such pedgagogy can be key to utilising a #projectbasedlearning approach where students can consider all key aspects of our #EDUC4750 unit. This works with class discussions targeted to the #sdg goals. #UoNTeach

This is so true. I would use Maslow’s Hierarchy to teach this for #SDG3. This will assist students learning about what humans needs are starting from physiological needs (food, water, shelter) to eventually achieving self-actualisation. So simple but so important. #Educ4750

As our students are 21st century learners, we must become 21st century teachers! Inquiry education can be enhanced through many forms of technology. How do you use technology to facilitate your students learning? #UonTeach #EDUC4750

Transport is Australia's third largest source of greenhouse gas emissions (17% of total emissions). Transport emissions have grown more than any other sector, increasing nearly 60% since 1990. What could we do as a community/class to help lower these stats? #Educ4750

I will be using De Bono’s 6 thinking hats in my unit plan to get students involved in their learning! This website provides some great templets to use in the classroom. #Educ4750 #uonteach storyboardthat.com/blog/e/six-thi…

This is the first view of the “Plastics Money Solar Shopping Cart” run purely on solar power where you can buy eco-friendly products & school stationary items by bringing single use plastics waste from home instead of real money. Just completed half today.

To celebrate the release of our new reference text for teachers, Teaching the language of climate change science, here are 32 books for children about climate change and sustainability! petaa.edu.au/w/Blog/Latest_…
