Teaching is so weird because nobody seems to want to talk about how to explain things... which seems like it'd be something we'd talk a whole lot about. There are a few things I've learned from research into clarity of explanations that I wish I'd been taught earlier 1/

Last day of placement at @girvanacademy and I can only say thank you to the humanities dep and the rest of the school for making me feel so welcome and supported over the last 12 weeks! Onto probation year now!☺️

Very excited to be doing my NQT year in South Ayrshire, there’s no place like home☺️

Must have gotten too used to all the bank holidays at the beginning of May because this is the LONGEST WEEK EVER!!

Was so great to pop along to PE and see the kids having fun on the inflatables today!😄

Today was my last day teaching S3 at placement and two lovely students brought me in an Easter egg, buttering me up for when I come back but I will take chocolate covered bribery anyway🤣

Been informed by my S2s today that they are making a petition to “keep” me🤣🤣 don’t you just love democracy in action😄

My placement school’s GIRFEC classes are learning about young carers this week, so refreshing to listen to young people discuss topics which they wouldn’t usually get the opportunity to learn about!

Update: I must have good karma as the internet has clicked back on and all of my work has saved💛

It was Christmas jumper day at my last day of placement! Thank you so much to QMA for giving me such a positive experience!! Remember gingers are for life, not just for Christmas! 🎄

Insane how all it took for me to get over my years of public speaking anxiety was to have 31 teenagers stare at me waiting to be taught Mon-Fri 🤣
