@pirateherojones Didn't say it wasn't. I just said it wasn't a normal kettle, i.e. it's used for more than just boiling water compared to a bog standard normal electric kettle that just boils water.

I couldn’t even read it as a preteen. While everyone my age was reading this mid-at-best story, I read Lord of the Rings.

speaking as someone who religiously read the books during my preteens, harry potter is very easy to outgrow. jkr’s transphobia should give you the ick! the worldbuilding’s not even good enough for you to hold on to! also you’re pushing 30!
