It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of one of our own, Detective Paul Gesi. Paul died last week after a long and courageous battle with severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). His death, a suicide, reflects the silent struggles many first responders face and is a stark reminder of the mental health challenges within law enforcement.
Paul's law enforcement career spanned an incredible 41 years, with 39 of those years dedicated to the Northglenn Police Department and the City of Northglenn. As a dedicated homicide detective, Paul spent decades fighting to bring justice to countless families. His tenacity and commitment were unparalleled, and his work left an indelible mark on our department and the entire city.
Beyond his outstanding police work, Paul was a familiar and friendly face in our community. He taught at our Citizens’ Police Academy, spoke with students in area schools, and always made time to connect with others. He was also a strong man of God who loved Jesus and was an amazing single father to his six children.
Paul’s impact was felt far beyond our department, and his absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him.
The family has shared their wish to hold a public service to honor Paul’s life and service. We will share details when they become available.
We ask our community to keep Paul’s family, friends, and colleagues in your prayers.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available.

The pack mentality is strong in this community. After all this time, so much information, the people will still believe their plug with some clout. They will convince people to pay more money for their stuff and the unregulated market will always be alive. I guess that’s pretty cool. If everyone was smart enough to understand everything about cannabis, no one would make any money. After 20 years I’ve learned just smile and get your bag everything custies think they know is a lie
@ElijahSchaffer If you didn't earn legal citizenship, learn proper English, or study our Founding documents, what loyalty do you have to our homeland and why should we let you stay?
🚨 BOOOOOM!!!
Senator Bennet might have just ended RFK Jr.'s chances of being nominated as HHS Secretary. Watch how he cuts through the BS and asks the tough questions.
THIS is how you do it.
