📰 NEWS Severance Hospital & @BTS_twt Suga are establishing the "Min Yoongi Treatment Center" to support children & adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As well as Suga voicing his intention to donate ₩5B (USD$3.8M) to help sustain this long term therapy program for the next 10 years. The center will provide therapies (language, psychology, behavioral) & link research with clinical practice. Its cornerstone is the "MIND music therapy program", co-developed by Suga & Professor Cheon Geunah. Suga stated: “Through preparing the program & volunteering with Professor Cheon Geunah over the past 7 months, I deeply felt that music can be a precious channel for expressing one's heart and communicating with the world. Being able to participate in the treatment process for children with ASD itself was a great source of gratification & happiness for me, & I will continue to add my strength so that more children can join as members of our society.” "The MIND program" (Music, Interaction, Network, Diversity) uses music-making, singing, & lyric writing to help ASD children express emotions and build social skills. Suga actively participated in its development over several months, working directly with children on weekends, playing guitar, teaching instruments, and guiding interactions. Early results show significant improvements in emotional/verbal expression and social skills (like cooperation) in participating children, including those previously unresponsive to traditional therapy. The ultimate goal is to help ASD children become independent individuals & healthy members of society through music, thereby reducing stigma & improving societal understanding of ASD. v.daum.net/v/202506230933…
