@MrConnellyWRDSB @ONlit_social For me I do one explicit lesson each week (last week sentences and this week nouns) but keep circling back to it constantly in our language activities. This week was nouns!

A week of working on sentence writing in grade 1 today. Settings and characters, adding some labels using sounds, @ONlit_social syntax project for talking about sentences, and writing our own sentences for our writing! We did it!!!

Our first day of @UFLiteracy roll and read! Practising taking turn with a partner and helping a friend say the sounds of they were unsure

The number monster came to grade 1 and munched up some numbers. We had to order our numbers and figure out which ones were missing.

Structured sentence writing today in grade 1. We used decodable sentences that aligned with where we are in the @UFLiteracy scope and sequence.
