Recently, I’ve started being more honest with my kids about how overstimulated I get when they ask me constant questions and always call my name. Today, the class was being noisy and without having to say a thing, some of my kids went, ‘Be quiet! Miss is getting overstimulated!’

Every single term without fail (usually week 3/4) I have problems with my vocal chords where I don’t have a sore throat yet my voice sounds horse and I cant talk very well. Any tips of how to reduce it?

@londonteacher_ We now know over 50 and the alphabet since starting last week! It’s a great time filler/ end of day thing to finish one! I’ve had parents message and say they think it’s great they are learning it😃 Thankyou for sharing I would have never done it without seeing your post 😃

My class now know over 200 BSL signs and it has transformed communication in my classroom. They can have full conversations with eachother and me and they’re independently using number signs using carpet sessions in maths and great for non vbl communication too. Amazing.

Was talking to a parent on my way home who told me her daughter (in my class) is teaching the whole family BSL as I teach them 🥹💖

@MissPickston4 @MrTs_NQTs You could bake challah bread with your class. But I would strongly suggest doing some research on Shabbat and Judaism in general so your lesson focuses on the religious origins and not just the food. Good luck!
