Today, Miss Rafferty and our student support team organised a trip to the nearest fire station to promote team building, confidence and cooperation skills whilst learning about safety at home and in the community.👨‍🚒🚒🧯👩‍🚒

Huge thanks to Paul, Martin & Donald from @fire_scot for having us at Whitburn FS today after eight weeks of intervention with a group of S2 and S3 learners. We looked at fire skills, safety, confidence and team work. Amazing day had by all @ArmadaleAcademy @ArmadaleSSTeam 🚒

@ArmadaleAcademy had an inset-first today with a training workshop planned and delivered by an S6 from our LGBT group for change. EK bravely came in to discuss inclusion and support while also sharing the views of LGBT young people across the school. Very proud of her! 🏳️‍🌈👏🥇

🐉🎥🎬💜Day two of our Chinese New Year Celebrations: food! We took a group of lucky students to discover the joys of eating a hot pot. We had a chopstick masterclass and also visited a Chinese supermarket to bring back some snacks to our friends at school. @CISSStrathclyde 💜

Next week we will celebrate the Chinese New Year: the year of the dragon 🐉 ! We have a lot of surprises and activities for our students. Weather depending, there might be a surprise for you all when you drop your students at the school gate on Thursday🤞🏼🧧.
