I once read that we should say to our kids, "You must be so proud of yourself," instead of, "I'm so proud of you" because they'll grow up intrinsically motivated rather than motivated only to please others. I've been doing this for 10 years and I swear it's legit. -@joelbrigham

I am so thankful @mrs_butler_eps found and shared this idea with me. Sunshines loved “growing” these from seeds (tic tacs). Each kiddo felt some magic when these grew into full sized candy canes - because they did their personal best all week long! ♥️

Y’all. The other night I jokingly told Angel to take his ass to sleep. Malachi - who had, by this time, made his way to our bedroom and apparently wasn’t asleep - chimed in with “you take YOUR ASS to sleep, mom” Come get this boy. 😂🤦🏽‍♀️
