Continuing with our Black History Month we read “I am Ruby Bridges.” My class was asked to create their own cover and title conveying the message of the book. This student gave my goose bumps. @RubyBridges#RubyBridges#BlackHistory
I haven’t been sharing much lately; but this made my day in our guided reading group this morning. If nothing else, I’m so glad they view me as a happy teacher 😃 📚
We began our last day before the Holidays handing out compliment cards to our staff members. We were able to watch the Power of Compliments in real time 💜 🎄 @SISNLESD@NLESDCA
So proud of my Grade 3 class for their questions, thoughtfulness, and outrage surrounding residential schools. Today a writing prompt stated “I wish…” and I asked them what would they say if they met a survivor. One girl wrote “I wish you had a different life.” 🧡 @NLESDCA
Not only did our school QUADRUPLE our fundraising goal; we also had an opportunity to have a Google meet with schools across the country and the Terry Fox Foundation. @TerryFoxCanada@NLESDCA@MSBregional
