After exploring the Christian church and the important symbols that we can find in the church, we have focussed on the Islamic faith and explored the Mosque. Beautiful work ⛪️🕌@LanghoStLeonard

We used our findings from the beach yesterday to create beautiful observational drawings. We used our new watercolour skills to carefully create the different tints and shades we could see @LanghoStLeonard

Our fabulous trip to the RSPB Fairhaven Lake centre. What a super way to finish our learning about the seaside with a trip to Lytham! We used our senses to explore, we learnt about wildlife and even found a magic passageway through a hedge! @LanghoStLeonard

Last week in maths, we used our new learning of mass to measure ingredients in grams to make yummy cupcakes to sell as part of the enterprise fair! Super teamwork and great mathematical vocabulary used (plus the cupcakes were delicious!) @LanghoStLeonard

A fabulous ACE week - all about appreciation, celebration and education. We have learnt so much about Hinduism and Sikhism through traditional dance, the shrine, Rangoli art, Palkhi and eating yummy samosas! @LanghoStLeonard

We used our new learning and vocabulary in maths today to direct pro bots and friends to different places on our maps. I heard fabulous mathematical language and clear directions ⬇️⬅️⬆️➡️ @LanghoStLeonard

Wellbeing week in Falcons ☀️@LanghoStLeonard

We have enjoyed our English learning based on the film clip ‘A Cloudy Lesson’ producing some fabulous written work. After designing our own weather maker, we wrote an exciting story to go with it. Today, we were able to make our inventions come to life! @LanghoStLeonard

After tasting smoothies already on the shelves, tasting various fruits and veg and designing our own smoothies (with packaging), we were finally able to make them! They were very tasty and very healthy! @LanghoStLeonard

I was amazed at the natural art Year 1 created today in art club. We also planted our wild flowers in the flower pots we decorated last week. @LanghoStLeonard

Year 1s enjoyed exploring different mediums in our first art club. We loved using ink to create a marbling effect on paper, “it’s like magic!”

In science today, we became researchers! We used our computing skills to find out more about the basic survival needs of different animals. I was very impressed with the enthusiasm and teamwork to find such interesting information and facts! @LanghoStLeonard

World Book Day 📚 We created some super book characters, wrote character descriptions, short stories and even made clay models of our characters! We loved sharing our writing with each other. We certainly have some future authors in Falcons📝 @LanghoStLeonard

The best classroom and the richest cupboard is roofed only by the sky 🌳🌧 We explored and managed risk tonight as we made the most of the rain. Mud is the new face paint! @LanghoStLeonard
