@MissVBeard@MrTs_NQTs We used to do a day at Victorian school in class. Children came dressed up as did staff, all tables were in lines, wrote lessons with chalk on black paper for slates, had strict rules to follow such as all stand when an adult entered the room, sit up straight no talking etc 1/2
I am to take lead on planning and teaching victorians in KS1! I’m looking to find some ideas for lesson activities that link to learning about Victorian families.
I want to bring the learning to life! #primaryteacher#victorians#ECT@MrTs_NQTs
@MissVBeard@MrTs_NQTs 💭 Baking, sewing, playing old children's games, role play jobs of Victorian times, singing Victorian songs, decoupaging, diary writing in role. Just a few ideas but base your learning on the history objective, what do you intend the children to know/be able to do?
I’ve been invited to interview at my placement school from last year and I’m honestly so thrilled🥹🥹
Any suggestions for a Y4 creative writing lessson? I’ve got a few ideas already 💡
@MissVBeard@PaulGarvey4@MrTs_NQTs See if the kids can spot any living things beginning with a, b, c, etc. Small prize for the winner. In fact, maybe rule out a, because kids will say - a slug, a snail, etc. Or focus on living things of a particular colour, etc.
