Have been on a term (and a half) contract and today I got called into the principals office. Where he OFFERED ME PERMANENCY!!!! Pretty dang chuffed with myself. All the hard work at uni has paid off. Now the real hard work begins! #acuedu_p

This morning the stage 3 coordinator announced that there was a day of testing for the year 6 Ss. Maths, spelling, writing, reading and history. I sat there puzzled at this announcement thinking I must have missed that email.. I too got pranked #aprilfools #acuedu_P

Dear brains trust, I’m about to apply for a maternity position (private school) and it says to send the application to a postal address. There is also a phone number and email attached. Do I need to print and post it or is an email appropriate also? #acuedu_p

@MissVincent95 If it asked to post the application then print and post it. You might want to then send an email and alert the school that you posted the application and you appreciate the opportunity to apply.

Took myself on a bit of professional development today. Volunteered at a high needs special needs school for the day. Such a wonderful learning experience. #acuedu_p

I might not have an exciting full time role like a lot of my cohort mates... but when the AP of the school Im casual teaching at replies to my availabilities with "Im looking forward to seeing you again" my heart cant help but jump with joy :)

Been trying to just ignore it for 4 weeks, but enough is enough. #youweremeonce !!! Let’s make sure when we have prac students at our schools in the future we are the bright shiney stars of their day EVERY DAY. Even if they aren’t our student!

It’s astounding how little value you hold in a school when you’re a praccie. Not by executive staff (the principal and AP have both commended me on my great work) but other classroom teachers. The small things.. like looking straight past me when I say good morning. #acuedu_p
