I have left my teaching position and have a bunch of teaching/education books I would like to sell on - anyone know where I can do this?

@EyesShutTeacher I have just moved schools, unfortunately. My new school is supportive and the people are great. My issues with the job run much deeper than any individual school.

@Miss_BTeaches Pare back, regroup and prioritise your self care. You will be missed at home far more than you ever will at work. Also maybe shop around for a better fitting school, I believe in England there’s vacancies?

I have struggled with this job many times in the past but it has never been as bad as it is now

I don’t have many followers on here but I just feel like I need to write this somewhere. I feel like I need to leave teaching but I am terrified to hand in my notice in case I don’t get a job

I have a girl in my year 6 class who cannot read. She will be going to phonics during reading sessions but does anyone have any good ideas on tasks I can give her to complete more independently during writing so I don’t spend all of my time only helping her? @MrTs_NQTs

There was a jumble trail in my local area today and I picked up all of these books for my classroom for 50p each… Very excited to spruce up my reading corner with all of these!!

@Miss_BTeaches @MrTs_NQTs @FunkyPedagogy Language goes so far beyond words, and when a child is plummeted into what can feel like an alien landscape, that friendly, loving, caring face and safe space will make a *huge* difference to their readiness to being absorbing and trying out this whole new language 2/

Where can I find some good resources/training on assisting year 6 EAL children with their writing? I have never worked with a child with so little English knowledge so I want to learn how to best support her this year. @MrTs_NQTs

I emailed my HOY on Friday but no response…

From 33.9% ARE+ in maths in December to 71.8% ARE+ in May…. Think I’m on cloud 9!!!!

I have done soooo well to not do work on any of the strike days so far but I’m definitely going to have to do some tomorrow as reports are due on Tuesday and I have only done half! Summer 2 in year 5/6 is too busy😭

I’m joining a school that uses ‘Talk for Writing’ and it’s not something I’m familiar with… I’ll get some training in September but are there any great resources/learning journey examples that I could use to get a head start? @MrTs_NQTs
