I just had a student run into my office asking me to follow her to her classroom. I frantically follow her thinking it’s serious, and when I do, the lights are off and all the kids jump and scream “Happy School Counselor Week!” and was attacked by cards and hugs. #bestjobever

Today, I pushed into the 7th and 8th grade classes for National Suicide Prevention Month. Students learned how to be a mental health ally to friends/peers and I ended the presentation with the short film, "Are You Okay?”

Ignore the summer pool hair- but when an old middle schooler who is now entering her soph year (!!!) emails you to say she got a job at McDonald’s, you come visit her and get fries!

At the end of our final counseling session of the year, a student made me a “World’s Best Counselor” ribbon. 🥹🫶 #BestJobEver

I just found out the school newspaper club is writing a blurb about me! A student is coming to my office later on to interview me. Honored is an understatement. 🙏🏼
