How UNBELIEVABLY lucky we are to have @HowieRose narrating them, a voice so eloquent to live on long after he’s no longer in the booth. No season as a Mets fan is ever simple, and while no one deserves a peaceful retirement more, man oh man will we miss him talking us through it.

So much of what being a Mets fan means to me is tied to Howie -- car rides with my dad, replaying highlights over and over, all with him on the call. He’s tied generations of fans together. I don’t even know the Mets without him, and it’s impossible to imagine it any other way 💔
