But that said it could just be rumors on social media, just like here on X.

Why? It's war. Do you not understand what war means? A friend of the enemy is your enemy, this is basic logic and goes for any and all warfare. Allies to the USA are a threat, especially when they host American military bases
Their goal is to have the USA leave the region completely and Israel to cease all attacks on Gaza and the West Bank. They want Israel to give them reparations for the damage and promise not to expand into the Palestinian territory
We all hate it, but that's what they want. They will do what it takes to get it now that they have been attacked, they want total security to prevent all this from happening again. This was a huge strategic blunder by the USA and Israel.

Its not just they pay less for housing, they pay less of their total consumer expenditure than Americans. So I guess that means Americans are poor?
But yes, imported goods cost more as I said. Good thing so much of the world's goods are manufactured in China
There are downsides to all countries. China is still developing and there are many parts of the country that could be considered poor. They are a nation of 1.4 billion people. Its crowded and a very different type of living. But as a nation, they arent "poor". Thats objectively incorrect.

You are comparing apples to oranges. I'll repeat, do you know what purchasing power parity means? What do you think this chart looks like for housing? I'll just tell you, it's flipped the other way. They spend less than we do. So does that mean Americans are poor, since we have to spend more on shelter? Ridiculous.

You do understand the cost of goods and services in China are much lower right? Do you know what PPP means? Poor is an incorrect characteristic.
Their housing and food costs exponentially less than in the USA. I just bought noodles today that cost 1 dollar here, but would have cost over 10 dollars back in the USA, do the math.
Only wealthy people can buy luxury imported goods. That doesn't mean they are poor or oppressed.

The unfortunate truth is that Iran is a population with a large number of religious fundamentalists. Their Pope was assassinated on their holy day. They will not give up unless all their terms are met, they rather be completely obliterated before giving up.
Are we prepared to give them control over the middle east (aka no USA military bases in the region)? Is Israel prepared to give Palestinians reparations and at least part of their land back? That's what it's gonna take IMO. You can't close Pandora's box. Id love to be wrong, but I'm not seeing it.
