And here’s the second version and I don’t know how to feel about it. I THINK the shoulders look better but maybe that’s just cope to justify the redraw. I think maybe if I didn’t have the eyes closed… I don’t know i feel I got lazy by the end, I just want to be done with this.

Here’s the first try. I like the body and face better, but I feel the shoulders look odd. Do they look odd enough for me to have had to redraw this, I don’t know but there she is. Let’s call it Dreamy Stretch to keep the theme going. Second version in a second.

Tried redrawing that picture of the beach girl with a different reference to make the shoulders look more natural but now I just have two drawings I don’t really like for different reasons so I’m just going to post both to get them out of the way and stop thinking about this.

@tynamiteyt Never really felt like you actually fought Venom. You just fight big gooey end of the world monster man at the end. The character was Venom in name only but Insomniac knew that bare minimum effort was enough to trick people in the door. I felt scammed honestly.

I’ll never forgive them for making us think we’d get one of the coolest in-city boss fights ever just for nothing remotely similar to happen

A little work in progress thing with the Superman and Supergirl. I really want to try and go all out on this one, but I’m worried I’ll fall into my usual rendering habits. I also want to get more used to adding dialogue to pieces so expect more little jokes and such in drawings.

@chubshrub I just feel that by the end of the pilot I ended up disliking both the main characters. What redeeming qualities do they actually have? They just seem like dangerous idiots, like the creator couldn’t settle on a personality for anyone so they just double downed on quirky.

My opinion on the pilot aside, the common, "nothing happens though", criticism feels to me like its only popular NOWADAYS because people want to feel smart ANALYZING things. It used to be normal to just like things for their art. Personally I blame the rise of video essays.
