The issue likely stems from the fact that our highschool history classes don’t really go over Asian history

To a White American man, you're only "Asian" if you can be sexualized and objectified, and you're "Brown" if you're "inferior" to him.

@Mistful_bliss @RepDarkMoney @Anchovy_Pizza Milk chocolate is brown, what you are thinking of is white chocolate, which unlike normal chocolate only has the cocoa butter rather than normal cocoa arguably making it not chocolate in the same sense.

Like, personally, maybe I’m just weird but when I see the word “Asian”, nothing comes to mind, but when I try to understand others, I put myself in their mindset. You can tell the man meant East Asian (probably), and with the different cultures, they want to separate them.

This is such an argument from EVERYONE.
Like, yea, South Asians are Asians, kinda obvious.
But words can have, even if slightly, different meanings in different areas. For example? Yankee may mean a Newfie, a Vermonter, a US Northerner, or just American depending on the person.
