Week 3 at TRP-1 @10acad: worked on a document intelligence pipeline to process messy PDFs and reports. After indexing, we could query the documents and retrieve exact answers with their source. Real-world data is messy. Learned a lot this week. #10Academy #My10AcademyTRP1Week3

Week 2 of TRP-1 at @10acad was tough. We tried building an “Automaton Auditor” to evaluate repos instead of generate code. Self-audits, peer audits, lots of iteration. It exposed gaps fast. Still a work in progress, but learned a lot. #10Academy #My10AcademyTRP1Week2

For Bash concepts like redirection, piping, subshells, etc., this strategy of “ask → simulate → explain” is more time-efficient and beginner-friendly than trial/error or documentation alone. #ALXPD @alxafrica

a). The Piping Challenge I chose the pipeline: ps aux | grep 'bash' | wc -l I always saw this command used to count how many bash processes are running, but I didn’t fully understand the standard input/output flow.

AI Response: ps aux lists all running processes, outputting a long list of lines (each line = 1 process) with user, PID, CPU, memory, command, etc. grep 'bash' filters the output to include only lines that contain the word bas

Strategy: Kinaesthetic I prefer explanations broken down into steps, but I also wanted to simulate how the data flows by observing intermediate output (so I asked ChatGPT to simulate and explain data at each stage). This matched both my learning style and the technical challenge.

Prompt engineering is so underrated. Rather than making chatGPT return bunch of garbage, it might be good to use the cheat sheet of prompting and they're: Task, Context, Exemplars, Persona, Format, and Tone #ALXPD @alx_africa
