@MistyLea09 No, tax codes try to spread the tax due evenly over the tax year, otherwise you'd find your take home pay in April was high then it'd would suddenly drop partway through the tax year. Steve

@MistyLea09 So , to the end of August, that gives £4712 tax free, if the total you've earned from them this tax year is more than that, they will have deducted tax. Steve

@HMRCcustomers I've had tax deducted this month but I havent anywhere near the threshold. Prior to June I have been a student for 4 years.
