The Toronto Raptors are one of the luckiest draft teams in recent memory. In 2021, Scottie Barnes falls to 4 because of a very clearly defined top 3. He'd easily have gone top 3 in most drafts. In 2024, Collin Murray-Boyles who was projected to go top 4 goes back to school.. comes out a year later in a stronger draft and falls to 9 after concerns about his combine results... Ja'Kobe Walter in 2024 gets mocked from 3-14 range for the whole year only to fall ass backwards to 19 and gets drafted by a team that didn't even work him out. And then there's 2026. Allen Graves, an analytics darling from Santa Clara University decides to reject a mega NIL offer from Duke and enters the draft without a single top 20 promise because..."faith". Him coming off the bench for SC was due to an injury which pushed him into the backup 5 role instead of the starting 4. If he starts all year at a more natural position instead of coming off the bench out of position he probably goes top 15. IF* he'd gone to Duke, he probably goes top 10 next year in a weaker draft. Not even kidding. So now Toronto has 4 foundational building block pieces for their young core to pair with Kawhi. All under 25. All of them draft steals at their position. Luck matters.

@scobelverse Overuse of the word literally is typically a telltale sign of intellectual deficiency. Please either explain why any (or all) points point to a bias or kindly f**k off. And no, simply disagreeing with something doesn't make the other person's view on the subject biased.

Quite a few things wrong with this. 1. Collin Murray-Boyles offensive expansion is about to surprise some people. 2. Chucky Hepburn is a defensive ace. 3. Allen Graves is a 2 way guy and I'd say what he does offensively should translate beautifully to the NBA 4. Jakob Poeltl is being so disrespected here it's almost pissing me off.

Because those guys have relatively stable value. CMB has upside, but it’s unrealized, you’re gaining upside on the unrealized value, if he never realizes that value, u end up missing out. One thing about upside that people love to overlook is that, a player can also *not* pan out

Would you include CMB in the deal if it meant getting Kawhi Leonard back to the Raptors or no deal? Clippers might be wanting him back or additional picks.
