Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar, Saba Sams, and Xiaolu Guo are among my favourite short story writers. Of course, ‘Lihaaf’ by Ismat Chughtai will always be one of the most impressive short stories to be written in the Indian sub-continent. #writer

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Mitra. We need things that comfort our souls. I try to read widely, and many books I read are powerful, impactful and heart wrenching. But I have my escape- I read a lot of romance on the side too 😊

With all due respect, as much as we need powerful writing, we also need comfortable literature. I feel there should be one book for our every mood. Moreover, some light reads did save us during pandemic 💜🙏
