On Saturday October 29th, 40 “Pigs on Parade” returned home to Pike Place Market! Thank you for helping us celebrate our 40th Birthday as the pigs went “hog wild” on the Market cobblestones. 🐖 🐖 🐖

Today, we are celebrating the Friends of the Market and their monumental achievement 51 years ago. On Nov 2, 1971, Seattle citizens voted to keep #PikePlaceMarket. The vote ended a 7-year battle, established the Market as a historic district & created the Pike Place Market PDA.

The work continues as we all partner together to keep the Market STRONG, now and for generations to come! #keepthemarketstrong #thismarketisyours
