They took the money & “invested” it in dodgy ventures & other speculative investments which yielded negative returns. A forensic audit also outed the couple for having pampered themselves with a BMW X5, a Merc, & massive & questionable “consulting” fees as the icing on the cake. When the noose tightened, bro resigned in a huff as Economic Development Deputy Minister in 2012 (during JZ’s tenure). No one got criminally charged or convicted for that heist. And that’s when bro caught Cyril’s eye as a very talented economist.
