Gr 8s are exploring the world of film critics! Ss are learning how to apply adjectives to describe the feel of movies of various genres. We are working hard to move beyond the basic adjectives of ‘bon’ and ‘mauvais’ in our speaking and writing en Français. @piustitans@BHNFrench

Ss in gr 7 have completed their hotel search for their Francophone trip and now we are delving into authentic situations occurring in a hotel. Today we played Quiz Quiz Trade as an introduction to some Qs that may be asked when visiting a hotel. @BHNFrench@piustitans
Today gr 8s were introduced to their new unit “Allons au cinéma”. We brainstormed authentic situations we may navigate during this unit and kicked it off with a challenge. Can you figure out these famous movie titles en anglais? @piustitans@BHNFrench
Gr 7s have been exploring Francophone countries in small groups. Ss examined a text for les mots familiers/amis, read the text and found info about cuisine, attractions and school life in the country being explored. Today we shared our findings as a class. @BHNFrench@piustitans

Ss in grade 6 are applying their learning of le futur proche in the creation of Fortune Tellers. It was so fun visiting students to play - apparently I’m going to eat cheese, visit the Dominican and dance at McDonalds 😂 @piustitans@BHNFrench
Flashback to earlier this month when Ss chose their “Mot de l’année” for 2025. Ss learned how to navigate a WordReference, researched possible words & wrote a goal using their chosen word. 1 word holds a lot of meaning when setting intentions for the year. @BHNFrench@piustitans
After looking at a map of the world & discussing places we have visited, gr 7s spent some time today researching Francophone regions of N & S America with a virtual scavenger hunt. Ss used key words from the text to conduct their search online for answers. @BHNFrench@piustitans
