In grade 3 science we’ve been talking about structures. This student in my class was so excited to show me her new shirt from Italy. “Look Mme, it has all these structures on it!” @GregoryGrizzly1

Gr 3s are learning abt the Scientific Method w/ a fun experiment. Yesterday we made observations, came up w/ a hypothesis & conducted our experiment (overnight). Today we made more observations & conclusions. 👀what our gummy bears looked like before & after! @GregoryGrizzly1

Yesterday in grades 5&6 FI we celebrated the Olympic Games ahead of Paris 2024. Students participated in beach volleyball, 3 on3 basketball, discus (aka frisbee) and archery! Lots of fun @StUrsulaDPCDSB

The tears fell as I turned off the lights & closed the door for the last time @StUrsulaDPCDSB I can only hope that I had as much of an impact on my students there as they have had on me! It’s truly been a great 2 years working with amazing students & staff. #StUrsulaRocks 💜

Our 2024 Paris Olympics shadow art! Students chose an Olympic event & created a sculpture showing movement. We took them outside, traced their shadows to add depth, then attached both to paper in colours of the Olympic rings. We think they turned out great! @StUrsulaDPCDSB

Today our grade 5 students each presented a candidate and their platforms for @citymississauga Mayor campaign. Then our entire class practiced voting @studentvote #dpcdsb as part of our social studies unit.

Grade 5s @StUrsulaDPCDSB have been learning about government & the electoral process thanks to the Mississauga mayoral election. We researched candidates & today students cast their ballots. Can’t wait to see if our class pick for mayor will win the by-election on Monday!

Problem solving, teamwork and creativity…oh my! What an amazing day!! Thank you to Brampton West Family of Schools for an amazing STEAM Day today, and to @BonavDPCDSB for hosting! @StUrsulaDPCDSB loved the ukuleles, catapults, origami and Lego Mindstorms robotics.
