@mme_wagstaff I think it depends on what you want the numbers to mean and also on your school. So, for me, a 3 is meeting the standard. I want meeting the standard to be reflected by the A range (that's our school culture) so I call it an A-. That leaves room for A for students who go beyond.

@mme_wagstaff I have students show sustained ability to meet the target. So, 3 = meeting the target/standard. I set a number of times that they have to reach that in order to get a certain grade. Then I basically have a letter grade for each set of standards. Happy to discuss more if not clear

Ended my #NECTFL24 day with a @techMEWithyou session, which is basically like going to a comedy hour. But also, I think of myself as pretty Google savvy and she blew my mind. Great, practical and usable way to end the day.

In my school there is English 9, Eng 10, and then it’s all semester electives that are content specific according to the teacher, but that teach similar skills. I’m convinced we can do this in Mod Language. I wanna see my colleague teach a futbol class so bad!
