@valdombre There is 100's of $Billions in 'investment' from corrupt Chinese hiding their proceeds from a major crackdown.
That crackdown began in 2012. ↖️📈
@hikingtheglobe0 Fun fact... it has the lowest average household incomes of major cities in the country but still has that forest of expensive condo towers downtown.
@elie_mcn With the breakdown of the family unit in this 'woke / progressive' society, young people aren't being raised properly. They are kicked out of the house at 18 and aren't able to take care of themselves.
It's happening all over this country.
Is This Canada’s Most Depressing City? | Inside Edmonton, Alberta
Many say Canada’s fifth-largest city is say is falling apart.
So we flew there to find out.
What we saw and heard were some of the most shocking things I have come across in my career as a journalist.
@JonFlynnREstats Proceeds of corruption getting out of China kind of skews Greater Vancouver's market.
Average house prices went up $450k in just 2 quarters in 2015 after the crackdown began to target state-owned companies.

MP Michelle Rempel Garner going scorched earth on immigration Minister Lena Diab today. The Government is about to issue another 215,000 permits for foreign students & Temporary foreign workers, she asks why are they letting in so many more temporary laborers if they don’t currently have a way to track them. Michelle also wonders why are they bringing in so many temporary workers if there is a youth unemployment crisis going on currently. Lena says she went all over the Country and people are demanding it. Ok.
@iluminatibot Google 'Operation Skynet' - it's the reason Vancouver's house prices are 500% overpriced. Every wild price increase the past 15 years can be attributed to the crackdown targeting a new area.

@ryangerritsen@ronmortgageguy We allow huge amounts of capital in this country with no awkward questions asked.
In 2015, Greater Vancouver's average house price went up 25% in two quarters but it's probably just a coincidence that China began targeting corruption in state-owned companies at that time.

Ron @ronmortgageguy is absolutely correct. I hear many young people talk about how they will probably never be able to own a home. The Country has failed millions of young Canadians. But they will still go on TV & tell you how affordable they are making things, how great it’s going to be….when? is what every person under 30 should be asking because it’s been 10 years & it’s only getting worse.
@JarrydJaeger How many Wanting Qus are still out there? It's being reported she 'owns' 70 condos on Coal Harbour and her mother is now in prison for corruption.
Vancouver's skyline is in a metropolitan area with the lowest average household incomes in the country...DNC.
Vancouver’s tallest building is currently the Shangri-La, at 659ft.
The city is looking at updating its Higher Buildings Policy to allow new skyscrapers to reach even greater heights.
How tall would you go? 👇
@MelissaLMRogers Carney making housing affordable again but he's not going to touch anybody's equity. So if you're living in a $2 million+ average house in Vancouver, your sketchy equity is safe.
OMG 😆 Carney’s BILLION dollar Build Canada Homes agency has built 9 units, yes NINE units since the agency was formed in 2025.
And ZERO detached homes of course. This is actually so embarrassing
Don’t book hotels in Brampton!
Checked into the Monte Carlo Hotel in Brampton and the bathroom was absolutely FILTHY — someone else’s hair and stains all over the sink and bathtub. Went to the front desk and got brushed off like it was my problem. I paid $400/night for this… This city is a joke.
@DailyHiveVan How can a city with the lowest average household incomes of major cities in the country have so many expensive condo towers? You don't see that skyline in any other major city in North America...
Google 'Operation Skynet'
@MarcNixon24 There has been a crackdown on corruption going on in China since 2012. Every wild price increase in Vancouver real estate can be traced to the crackdown targeting a new area.
