Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The two leaders discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East. The Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the ongoing hostilities in the region. While expressing his strong condemnation of the attacks on Jordan during the ongoing regional escalation, the Prime Minister expressed solidarity with the people of Jordan in these difficult times. He emphasized upon the need for restraint, de-escalation, and diplomatic resolution of tensions. The Prime Minister fondly recalled His Majesty’s visit to Pakistan last November. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to further strengthening its close and brotherly relations with Jordan in all areas of shared interest, particularly in trade, investment, and defence.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkiye, to exchange Eid-ul-Fitr greetings. Both leaders also exchanged views on Afghanistan. The Prime Minister acknowledged Turkiye’s constructive role in promoting peace efforts between Pakistan and Afghanistan, especially in the recently announced temporary ceasefire, over the Eid days. Further, The two leaders urged the international community, especially those in the region, to seek a resolution of their problems through dialogue and diplomacy. While fondly recalling President Erdogan’s historic visit to Pakistan in February 2025, followed by the Prime Minister’s own visits to Turkiye in April and May, 2025, the Prime Minister highlighted the fact that both brotherly countries were working together assiduously to further advance bilateral ties across all spheres of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from the Sultan of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. During the warm and cordial conversation, the two leaders exchanged greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid, conveying their best wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of both countries and the Muslim Ummah. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Oman. In this regard, the Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to His Majesty the Sultan of Oman to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience. The Prime Minister also responded positively to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq’s gracious invitation to undertake a visit to Oman at a mutually convenient date.

The Prime Minister conveyed his warm and respectful regards to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, while reaffirming the strong historic fraternal bonds between Pakistan and Kuwait. The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to His Highness, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience. Both leaders agreed to remain in touch.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During their warm and cordial call, the Prime Minister congratulated President Tokayev on the success of the historic constitutional referendum held in Kazakhstan on 15 March 2026. He noted that the overwhelming turnout and support for the new Constitution reflected the trust and confidence of the people of Kazakhstan in President Tokayev’s visionary leadership and reform agenda. The Prime Minister also extended warm greetings to President Tokayev and the brotherly people of Kazakhstan on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and conveyed his best wishes for their continued peace, progress, and prosperity.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a restricted meeting with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. At the outset, the Prime Minister conveyed his respectful regards and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and expressed profound appreciation for the Kingdom’s longstanding support to Pakistan. The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in these challenging times. He also assured His Royal Highness that Pakistan would always stand firmly with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and strive for their mutual desire for peace in the region.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has written a letter to His Eminence Mojtaba Khamenei, conveying condolences on the martyrdom of his revered father, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, while also congratulating him on assuming the responsibilities of the Supreme Leader. In his message, the Prime Minister underscored that relations between Pakistan and Iran are anchored in shared faith, history, culture, and language. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue working closely with the Islamic Republic of Iran to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across all spheres of mutual interest for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples. The Prime Minister also prayed for the good health, well-being, and success of His Eminence, and for peace, stability, and prosperity for the brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is advancing towards a digitally empowered future with the launch of 5G technology. The auction of the 600 MHz spectrum, being conducted for the first time in the country’s history, marks a significant milestone in strengthening Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.
