After a night of heavy cooking and baking with electricity, then running 2hp + 1.5hp AC over night (at 19C, 16C) + always on general house appliance, pressure pump, fridge, freezer, lights, and a tiny home data center with 8 computers, 1 mini server, 1 5x 8TB storage server 6 raspberry pi & 3 network switches.
After all that. I am left with 30% battery by morning.
Solar is a scam.

I get this question a lot, and this is my usual answer that will help you decide if you should get a co-founder or not.
Ideally, there are three things needed to build a startup (I’m assuming this is a tech startup):
1. Technical skill to actually build the product.
2. Finances to support that build, along with some marketing and operational costs.
3. Connections/Partnerships : This could be access to users or communities that will use the app, connections to partners who can support with licenses you cannot get yet, connections to investors, and connections to potential integration partners.
The idea itself is not that important.
If, as a founder, you happen to cover these three things, then maybe you don’t need a co-founder. But if you can only cover one or two, and you find someone who is interested in the product and can cover the part(s) you cannot, and if you align, that is a good deal.
Highlighting these things lets you know whether you need a strong employee, a co-founder, or whether you should upgrade an employee to a co-founder.
These situations can also be tricky. If you have enough money and connections but no technical skills, you can hire someone technical. But what happens when you have connections, but no money and no technical skills? Or you have technical skills but no money and no connections?
A startup is a long journey. Your equity is only worth something if the company survives.
