We were privileged to be part of the 30th National Agriculture Fair in Jinja, organized by @unffe. We showcased how we are transforming agriculture through innovation during the Digital Economy Day convened by @TheVillageUG. #AgricShow24 #DigitalInclusionUg

The 10th @AfriFintech held in Lusaka, Zambia, was insightful for us and the #DigitalEconomyProgram technology partners @AxiomZorn, @gnugridcrb, @servicecopsug1, and @MobiPayAgroSys. The event offered a platform to showcase cutting-edge technology solutions, promote economic transformation, and empower indigenous social enterprises through panel sessions, an ecosystem tour, and a pitch session to strengthen FinTechs in the African ecosystem, empowering local entrepreneurs, and driving economic growth while fostering inclusivity. During his opening remarks, Dr. Denny Kalyalya, the Governor of the Bank of Zambia, highlighted the significant digital transformation within Zambia's financial industry, particularly the remarkable uptake of mobile money services. Notably, mobile money transactions in the country increased from 7 billion Kwacha in 2017 to nearly 300 billion Kwacha in 2022. Dr. Kalyalya attributed this remarkable growth to the widespread adoption of digital financial services by the public. The endless possibilities that Fintech has for Africa at large are unquantifiable. In an address to the summit, the honorable Minister of Information and Technology, Mr Felix Mutati called this move the “digital age” emphasizing how the sector presents the ability for communities to flourish while simultaneously improving the lives of 1.9 billion Africans. @awintiti, Innovation Village lead West Africa underscored the importance of embedding FinTech's in bridging sectoral gaps and the commitment to make digitization in banking and financial services impactful for everyone. He said “Embedding fintech is vital to connecting various sectors, facilitating more accessible and inclusive financial services. "#TheVillage is working with financial partners and our unwavering commitment is to ensure that every individual, regardless of their background or location, can harness the transformative potential of digital finance for a brighter and more inclusive future" he concluded. “Our participation at the summit was to connect with other industry leaders and founders who are intent on making access to finances for the last mile user possible. We also believe that FinTech's are catalytic innovations and if well supported can create new industries and under the Digital Economy Program, we get to make sure that solutions go to market faster while leveraging program capabilities. We are also keen to deploy a shared infrastructure among the partners we are working with”. said @ajmukembo Under the #digitaleconomyprogram, we aimed to create a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, collaboration, and the creation of market linkages within Africa for the technology partners part of the program, we are glad that the summit focused on addressing the transformative potential of financial technology in driving economic growth and fostering financial inclusion and shedding light on the pivotal role of FinTech in shaping Africa's economic future and spurring innovation across various sectors. Participating in events such as the #AFTS2023, exemplifies our dedication to fostering innovation and digital transformation in Africa's fintech landscape, and the collective drive towards economic empowerment and inclusivity which is part of our journey under the #DigitalEconomyProgram #DigitalInclusion
