if you need a quick way to insert a video in a phone mockup I recommend mock.video I've been using it and I didn't find any better for a noob like me

Of all the apps I’ve built, I personally use @mockvideo the most. About 7 years ago, I was struggling to create simple well-designed videos of the client apps I was building both for my portfolio and a way to demo the functionality of an activation for fans. I was able to create screen recordings from my iPhone but the recordings were raw and didn’t feel aesthetically pleasing to me nor were they formatted for sharing across multiple channels: LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc. I felt what was missing was simply the frame of the device that recorded it and a background color which matched the aesthetic of the recording. However, the act of finding these frames, gathering assets, and creating a composition in After Effects was tiresome. So, I built mock.video to handle these things automatically and it was quickly adopted by many designers and developers. If you’re familiar with my Instagram portfolio or my client project posts here on LinkedIn, you know that I use this app constantly. For example, here’s the Bon Iver video I created in the announcement video attached. instagram.com/p/DIRH4wPRaZ3 I decided to end Summer by touching all of the apps I currently maintain and as part of that work I have redeveloped Mock from the ground up. The app is now a little bit cleaner, a little bit faster, and it will serve as a foundation for some new features (and devices) I can’t wait to roll out. One new trick is that each device has its own unique URL, so you can quickly jump to your specific device. For example, I’m still rocking an iPhone 13 mini so I would go to: mock.video/apple/iphone-1… If you’re looking for a way to easily beautify your screen recordings and prepare them for sharing on your socials, check out this new version of Mock at mock.video.

In addition to adding landscape mode last week, we worked on making Mock run a bit quicker and able to handle longer (but not too long!) videos. 🏁 mock.video

You can now create landscape videos with @MockVideo ✨

A Quick #InstagramMarketing Tip for you, @mockvideo is a super amazing tool that helps you instantly create mockups by adding a device frame to your videos! I have been using it to present The Digital Tinker's screen recording tutorials and presentations- mock.video

We've added the screen dimensions beneath the device drop down so you know exactly what size your video should be to fit the mockup. Side note: We try to use the exact screen size created when screen recording.

Good news for @MockVideo users: as soon as Safari 13 rolls out, we'll have support for transparent videos and I'll look into adding that feature to the app. developer.apple.com/documentation/…
