If you asked me yesterday if I would be buying JD Martinez. I would’ve told you no way. My LCS had this and I couldn’t pass it up for the price. Brings back good 2018 memories.
@CardPurchaser
@Pittsburgh1Pete I was just there two days ago. Underwhelming at best. Borderline infuriating they don’t have prices on cards and you have to ask every single time.
@JohnErickson107 If you’re completing a transaction for eight thousand dollars. I would be more accommodating to the buyer. Show some hospitality because this post isn’t going the way you think it is.
My gut was going off already from the start.
I could be wrong but you tell me.
Who needs a front and back pic of a PSA slab, especially when there’s an app to check? Something new I don’t know about?
@RasslinWalrus@TheArsenalCards@CardPurchaser When is a good time to walk away? After 8-10 minutes of just standing there. I just thanked them for my time and left without paying.
@ModernDayHobby@TheArsenalCards@CardPurchaser "I will not wait to pay"
Personally as a dealer I would try to make the sales transaction quickly & then go back to buying, but it's kind of entitled to assume everyone will drop everything for you b/c you won't wait a few mins. 🤷
I have to ask. As a dealer should you stop looking through a giant stack of slabs you may or may not be interested in with a customer to actively make a sale with another customer if they are ready to pay? @CardPurchaser
@CardVaultKC@CardPurchaser I can agree, I wouldn’t place any blame on the customer though. Tunnel vision sets in when you’re trying to sell. Should be on the dealer to recognize. Good Hospitality is dying in the card business.
@ModernDayHobby@CardPurchaser Honestly the other customer should offer to let you go. It’s like playing through in golf. You’ll find the asshole pretty easily in these situations.
@ModernDayHobby@CardPurchaser I think so, If the other transaction can be quick I don’t think they should wait for you to finish what can be a much longer transaction
