@ModestBeauty92 @PRINCE_ANGELUS_ @DLUXTHACHAMP "Other people" is a strange name for ass. People said "drake setup cole with fps"- false, "people said drake was at dreamfest but left due to being made w/ cole not wanting to continue with the beef"- false and quite the opposite drake was ok w/ cole withdrawing. See now?

@PRINCE_ANGELUS_ @DLUXTHACHAMP Why do yall feel that way? Yall won remember? So why do yall feel the need to defend narratives and events that no longer impact that bottom line? Unless this wasnt about the battle- its about ending drake and people debunking bs from.the beef is rejuvenating his image

🚨 Rory & Mal react to Ebro saying Kendrick Lamar is the only artist who supported his show. Mal says that logic basically sounds like “social payola” where support from an artist influences how you talk about them. Rory adds that if Drake didn’t exist, radio would’ve died way quicker, arguing Drake helped keep the format alive for another decade. They also say once support from an artist starts influencing how you cover them, it stops being journalism and becomes loyalty.
HotNewHipHop@HotNewHipHop

Ebro addresses J. Cole's recent comments about people using the beef with Kendrick Lamar as an opportunity to tear down Drake: "I was critical about Drake before the beef... If we're keeping it a bean, the only person that supported my show and me is Kendrick Lamar. So like, if we talking about how we pay our bills, y'all ain't been up here supporting me. None of y'all. Kendrick has." (Via The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show)

@saiyanjah_ Didn’t almost everyone respond Also, it’s a lie because in the same year Drake asked him to hop on NWTS to compete if that’s what Kendrick truly wanted He declined. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Like I said, short man syndrome 😂😂😂

@TrustMyEars @ModestBeauty92 @HipHopAllDay He looked down on his career cause he got upset about a verse literally no other rapper mentioned got upset about. He was for sure wrong and without him doing that nonsence and then subbing and tryna act friendly every other year we wouldn't be where we are today.

Stat Quo, formerly of Aftermath, claims that Drake would always send Kendrick Lamar songs to collaborate on every time he made a new album, but Kendrick ignored them due to his disdain for Drake 🤔

Former Aftermath artist Stat Quo alleges that Drake used to send Kendrick Lamar songs hoping to collab, but Kendrick routinely declined because he didn't like Drake: "If y'all don't know, for a long time, every time Drake would do an album, he would send Kendrick something to get on. So this is going on behind the scenes. So, anyway, Kendrick has not liked Drake for a long time." (Via @TheCompanyMan & Culture United)

Apparently they said J.Cole felt a way as well according to Glasses Malone. But even if it was just Drake it’s still reasonable to feel the way he did. People are acting like Drake said something crazy. He just pointed out the energy wasn’t the same in person and he didn’t like that. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@TrustMyEars @AlexFon25 @HipHopAllDay No other rapper he mentioned took it that way but him. Some were even mad they weren’t mentioned. Interesting…makes sense now. But got it Drake is his own special person. lol

Brother… I would’ve took it differently than Drake but at the same time when a nigga say I’m trying to murder you and make sure your fans don’t care about you anymore and then see you and it’s all buddy buddy it’s reasonable to feel the way Drake felt. You can’t tell someone how to feel about a call out like that.

@TrustMyEars @AlexFon25 @HipHopAllDay What is competition? I’m tryna raise the bar high that line is important. Again, I thought Drake studied and appreciated battle rap. They have said worse. Kendrick didn’t talk about anyone’s family etc. so again, I thought he liked competition?!?

@TrustMyEars @AlexFon25 @HipHopAllDay WHAT WAS SAID IN CONTROL THAT WAS A CALL OUT?!? If he said, I want to fight and then when you see someone and they don’t want to fight that’s not the same energy. It went left before the damn competition part.. Honestly, it was pussy shit. I thought Drake liked completion?!?

YOU CANT TELL A NIGGA HOW TO FEEL ABOUT A CALL OUT. Especially if you’re not on that same energy when I see you. I probably would’ve took it differently than Drake but I don’t think he’s is in the wrong for how he felt. Competition ain’t always friendly bruh. Shit can be cool or it can go left. It went left… Control kicked off everything…

@TrustMyEars @AlexFon25 @HipHopAllDay I don’t know what you’re not getting. *sigh* Drake took it one way while Kendrick explained it wasn’t that way several times in interviews plus he said he wasn’t on that energy. What you’re not understanding is that Kendrick is not at fault for how Drake took something.

Drake took control like a diss because he saw it as performative since he seen Dot and it was all love and not the energy on Control. He responded in an interview. Kendrick responded to that interview with a cypher verse. Drake responded to that cypher on a future remix. And then so on & so on. I don’t know what you’re not getting.
