When you call 911 to report a crime, you shouldn’t be put on hold.
Many Angelenos don’t trust official crime statistics, because when responses are slow, crimes don’t get reported.
On council, I’ve voted against contracts and projects pushed by powerful interests that have bankrupted the city and taken money away from basic city services. When I’m mayor, 911 calls will be answered immediately, and the right help will come quickly.

A student broke out into a dance after receiving her diploma at GEO Next Generation High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Tuesday, May 19.
Brittney Ford, @poeticpaige35 on Instagram, posted this footage showing her former student, A’Myria Marquee, in a joyous dance after receiving her diploma.
On Instagram, Ford wrote that she has known Marquee since she was in first grade.
“When you slammed the diploma down I knew it was up from there!” Ford wrote in the caption.
According to local news outlet WAFB, students at GEO Next Generation High School, in partnership with Baton Rouge Community College, can earn a high school diploma and a college degree.
In a separate Instagram post, Marquee said she was graduating high school with an associate degree and would be starting college as a junior.

This leads to fights, damaged property, and overwhelmed police. Parents Blame Social Media. Platforms do reward outrageous behavior with likes and views. Viral posts and AI flyers turn bored teens into flash mobs. BUT Many teens also lack supervision and structure at home. Past generations faced boredom without shutting down public spaces. Cities use curfews and fines, but these are short-term fixes. Real change requires 🔹️parents to reclaim authority 🔹️schools to teach discipline 🔹️platforms to limit rapid organization of minors 🔹️and more supervised youth activities What are your thoughts on this issue?

Spanish citizens who were persecuted and tortured as a result of the pirate attack of israel were subjected to police violence after reaching Bilbao Airport in Spain today.
