@ZweliHendricks @Constitution_94 Pls read to comprehend. MECs are not employees but political appointments.
English

@Constitution_94 If that's the case, then what position is the EFF's Dunga holding which allowed Lesufi to appoint him Gauteng Finance MEC?
English

🔴 IN CASE YOU MISSED IT 🔴
President Cyril Ramaphosa has signed into law few changes affecting the public service.
These amendments affect few sections of the Public Service Act (PSA):
🔷️ Ministers and MECs no longer have powers to appoint employees. The title Executive Authority with all its powers has been given to the Head of Department/ DG.
🔷️Public servants may not be members of the Top 5 or Top 6 or NEC, PEC or REC or BEC or Fedex or Senate of a party
🔷️HoDs may not be in any of those positions either. Nor should those who advise them in their offices
🔷️Retirement age of 65 may be extended by a maximum of 2 years by the HoD
🔷️Those dismissed may be reemployed back to their positions, if they are needed after service their sanctions. It will be like they are starting afresh.
🔷️Employees are allowed to retire early [before 60], as long as they serve 3 months notice [6 months for HoDs].
🔷️ Employees who want to do renumerative work outside their official business must apply. The HoD must consider the application & approve it [if reasons make sense] within 30 days. If HoD delays longer than 30days, it is deemed approved.
🔷️ HoD must recover overpayment to Employees
🔷️ DG Presidency given super powers
The changes are effective from 01 April 2026

@seunthenewguy @NigeriaStories The majority of Nigerians who are in South Africa are drug peddlers and are a nuisance to our country. That has nothing to do with our history of oppression. We are trying to build this nation, and you export your country men to destroy the future of our kids. Voetsek man
English

@NigeriaStories It still baffles me that a nation like SA that battled with apartheid and oppression for a long time, can still harbor hatred for a fellow African nation 😔 smh..

Lesufi is the worst premier to ever lead GP, all he did in all his years was pure lip service while GP deteriorated to unprecedented desperation. Now worse, he appoints a party that favors illegal immigrants —EFF, to handle GP purse. This is deliberate sabotage of province
eNCA@eNCA
The EFF is finally occupying a seat at the Gauteng provincial government decision-making table. And it's in charge of the provincial purse. Premier Panyaza Lesufi has named Gauteng chairperson Nkululeko Dunga as Finance and Economic Development MEC. He explains #TheSouthAfricanMorning #DStv403 #DStv194

@K_otli @JacintaNgobese Niyanya xa ninonke, it is in your imagination wherein EFF is fighting vigilantes. EFF has a bigger fight than individuals, which is land repossession and economic emancipation of Black People.
