Mostly ready for Día de los Muertos. We couldn’t bring ourselves to put Isaiah’s picture on the ofrenda this year, so we put some of the ofrenda stuff on his shelf. What a year it’s been for our family. Missing our best boy every day.

@JuliaGlowacki Good question. We began that way however, crowd control was needed with these littles who had never been to an assembly before. As a result, I adjusted & took on modeling and interacting with the entire grade level to make the best of the allotted time I had with them.

@Moffittisms If this is a culture reset, and modeling expectations is involved, shouldn’t the educators be seated in the lines along with students…?… I’m trying to wrap my mind around ‘what’s happening behind you.’ Elaboration on the culture reset in this context would help me understand.

Culture reset one grade level at a time. Reminding educators what looks like resistance is often a lack of clarity. Continually naming/modeling what we expect when we arrive at the destination must be embedded in the core of our expectations for scholars. #bookmeforyournextPD 😏
