@om_patel5 I like it. Openrouter, Opencode Zen or the likes offer many of the "best" free models (as I see it) already, though.

SOMEONE MADE IT SO YOU CAN CODE WITH 174 AI MODELS FROM 23 PROVIDERS FOR FREE one npm package and one install: "npm i -g free-coding-models" switch between any model instantly. benchmark them against each other in real time to see which one actually codes best for your use case. no subscriptions. no API keys. no cost. 174 models. 23 providers, all free, all from your terminal. if you're tired of paying for 3 different AI subscriptions just to compare which model codes better, this is it

Can confirm the leaked claude code does in fact work on a $30 phone. Having the source actually let me fix an issue with /tmp being hardcoded which caused a lot of issues running on Android in the past, so now I can specify a different temp directory in a .env which is helpful.

this guy 3D printed and vibe coded a tiny Claude robot for his desk it's called "Clawd Mochi." runs on an ESP32 chip with a tiny display that shows animated expressions. > hosts its own WiFi hotspot. zero cloud and zero internet required. fully offline > live-switch between animated faces, a terminal emulator, and a drawing canvas from your browser > total cost: under $8 > takes less than an hour to build 3D print files AND the full build are both open source too this is the greatest thing anyone has built with vibe coding

🚨Shocking: Microsoft just open sourced a Python tool that converts any file into Markdown for LLMs. It's called MarkItDown. And it's not a document formatter. It's a lightweight conversion utility built specifically for AI pipelines - takes any file you throw at it and outputs clean Markdown that LLMs can actually read and reason about. Here's what it converts: → PDF - full text extraction with structure preserved → PowerPoint - slides, headings, bullet points → Word - full document with lists, tables, links → Excel - tabular data as Markdown tables → Images - EXIF metadata + OCR text extraction → Audio - EXIF metadata + speech transcription → YouTube URLs - fetches transcription automatically → HTML, CSV, JSON, XML, EPubs, ZIP files - all supported Here's the wildest part: LLMs natively speak Markdown. They've been trained on vast amounts of it. When you convert your PDF or Excel file to Markdown before feeding it to an LLM, you get better extraction, better reasoning, and more token-efficient output than raw text or HTML. One command: `markitdown path-to-file.pdf > document.md` Also ships as an MCP server for Claude Desktop integration. 87K GitHub stars. Used by 2,200+ projects. Built by the AutoGen team at Microsoft. 100% Open Source. MIT License. (Link in the comments)

@elijahmuraoka_ I work in waves. Some are intense, some are less so. Been years where I tried to push the "normed" way onto me but that's just not me. I am far more successful with cycles of high/low output.

Working 16 hours every day is unsustainable When does he even have time to eat, shower, exercise, see friends, or even just use the bathroom?? Science recommends a minimum of 6-8 hours of sleep per night to prevent long-term damage It only takes a few months of this lifestyle, and you could be suffering later from type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and faster cognitive decline Don't get me wrong I respect @steipete a ton He's incredible But you only get one body, one life Take care of it I also don’t think humans were meant for working all day staring at a computer (I’m saying this as someone with 16-17 hours of screen time a day) We were meant to form deep relationships with others and connect with other humans, not just agents But seriously, I don’t think this lifestyle should be romanticized It's dangerous, especially for the younger generation Live a life you won’t regret

I wish the “acquisition” of @openclaw rewarded everyone who contributed to the GitHub and everyone who has used the platform. We’re still not getting distributed ownership and open source biz models right. @steipete built it but it took an army, yet from what it sounds only one will be rewarded. I wish that wasn’t the case. I could be wrong tho.
