Me: I'ma lock in this year!! I'll be way more productive with short form content and everything else. - Had to get a tooth extracted, so I took a couple of days off. - My stream PC wouldn't start, had to format and lost everything. - Couldn't bring myself to stream with everything happening in the Middle East (I'm originally from the UAE and my parents and siblings are still there). The first two days were really stressful.. I was super worried. Thankfully they're safe and living normally (God bless the leadership and military for doing an amazing job ❤️). I should spend less time on X.. Cause it's not doing me any good. But all this is just wild.

This article is interesting. While I do agree that gamers can be very toxic and sometimes hate just to hate, without knowing much about a game and simply because their favorite reviewer or streamer said something. I've been guilty of it in the past, judging a game without really looking into it. Then I play it and end up really enjoying it. I've seen this happen with many games. However, with Highguard, there was something there, a good idea that just did not stick the landing. There were several things that hurt the game: - Radio silence after The Game Awards. I feel like clearing things up earlier would have helped with some damage control. - Poor optimization at release. Not only that, but there was forced mouse acceleration and missing features like toggle or hold options. - The early game. While the idea was good, for many it felt empty. A big map for 3v3 with not much going on. I feel like if the early game had included some sort of PvE element, such as fighting a big boss for strong loot that players could contest, it would have made it far more exciting. There is more that just went wrong. The point is, that was not the players’ fault. It was an unfortunate release. There are a lot of games that had very unfortunate launches, received a lot of negativity, but in the end blocked out the noise, focused on constructive feedback, and turned their games into something special. No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk 2077 are two big examples. “It’s always easy to blame others.
