WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Kirkwood is headed to the quarterfinals after taking down Rock Valley. Five players scored in double digits as the Eagles were lead by Kaliyah Sain with 15. They will play Thursday at 5:30pm.

We celebrated important moments in Cougar country tonight as the basketball teams paired up with Beckman Catholic for a coaches vs cancer event. On the court, senior Molly Roling reached the 1,000 pt milestone and head Coach Mike Sconsa earned his 400th career win. Go Cougars!
Tonight, Cascade Coach Mike Sconsa, won his 400th game. Coach Sconsa began coaching in the 04-05 season and has 12 conference championships and 10 state playoff appearances. His 2009 team was state runner-up while his 2018 team were state champions! #chscougs#wdbqschools

In the record books! Eagles set an NJCAA record winning their 64th consecutive home game! Wren, Puot, Twedt, and Sain all scored in double digits. They also had 30 points from the bench.

The Kirkwood women's basketball team continues to set the standard in Juco hoops.
Saturday's win is the 40th straight W for @KCC_WBB. That breaks their own NJCAA DII mark for longest win streak, which they've held since 2009.
And they're on the cusp of another record that's been around since 1997.
This Day in Cougar Athletics History: January 2, 2015 (10 Years Ago) - Legendary Cougar basketball coach Al Marshall becomes just the third high school boy’s basketball coach in Iowa history to reach the 700 career victory milestone.
