I genuinely don’t think that graphics matter in Pokémon games. That didn’t stop you from enjoying the games before they became 3D, so it shouldn’t matter as much now.

@ItsmeRadley There are TONS of YouTube videos to get you started in competitive. Also almost every major tournament is live streamed and posted. Watch them. Play scarlet and violet until post game and you’ll be able to use items like bottle caps and ev train them so you don’t have to grind

@danzego @NintendoAmerica You wouldn’t be able to connect to home and save states and rewind would lead to duplicate pokemon. There’s a reason there are no cloud saves for pokemon games.
