I’m feeling like the Left didn’t want the second pilot to be found as a “gotcha” towards Trump. It’s a real problem when you’ve got a segment of the country that hates Trump so much, they’d prefer the country to fail so they can use it to hurt him and us. As much as we disliked Biden, we always wanted America to win. Always. That’s the difference between us.

Good Morning, Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a blessed celebration of the Lord’s Passion, Crucifixion, Death, and Resurrection this past weekend. You are warmly invited to join me for a daily scripture break. Matthew 10: 32 -33, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.” Once you become a Christian, this is your starting point. Notice Jesus didn’t say whoever is perfect and without sin or whoever acknowledges God exists - I will acknowledge before My Father.  At the onset of our Christian life, it is Jesus’ gift of redemption that connects us to the Father - that never changes. Jesus is clearly articulating the foundational truth of our acceptance into the Kingdom of God - it is through Jesus, our Lord and Savior. (John 14:6) So what does “whoever acknowledges me before others” mean? As I think about my Christian journey, I sometimes struggle with how to properly balance being a faithful follower of the Kingdom of God by my behavior and attitude in my public or private life with my zeal for my faith. Obviously, there were/are forces in our culture prepared to use our values against us and slyly but politely encourage people of the Christian faith to mute their enthusiasm for Jesus out of “respect" for others with different faiths and beliefs in “the public square”.  We must always recall how Jesus conducted Himself in public. He was honest about His teachings - He spoke the truth - He did not water anything down. He didn’t force anyone to convert. He dearly loved the Father and often separated Himself from His followers to spend in prayer, and He lived His life in accordance with His faith. (Luke 5:16) So how do I acknowledge Him before others?  I love the Lord by obeying His commandments (John 14:15) and I’m part of the body of Christ - there are many members in the body of Christ with different temperaments.   When someone insults or disrespects the Lord, it’s difficult for me to keep my indignation in check.  I want to defend Him or other Christians suffering in the world.  What I have learned over the years (although I don’t always succeed) is this - let the Holy Spirit guide you. Sometimes, the circumstance requires us to unapologetically and with great vigor defend the faith or other Christians and other times a gentle rebuke is appropriate. Both will be required on your Christian walk. The fact is, the Holy Spirit living inside of us shines through us and people sense we are different. What am I specifically talking about?  Well, in your business dealings do you conduct yourself fairly, honestly, and justly? Do you avoid using profane or vulgar language or jokes?  Do you treat your employees or employer with respect? Do you exhibit the fruits of the Spirit in your life? Do you acknowledge the Lord's supremacy in your life before others publicly? You acknowledge Him by your actions, words, and attitude. I frequently ask the Holy Spirit to show me how I should appropriately behave. I don’t always get it right. Charlie Kirk lived his faith before young people and they responded to the love Charlie had for the Lord and them. Every human being is designed to respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, but not everyone listens. Just acknowledge Him in all your ways. (Proverbs 3:6) Peace and be prepared.

I want to take you back 31 years to June of 1995. There’s some old timers like me, @CynicalPublius @BuzzPatterson that surely remember the Grit of Basher 52. On June 2, 1995, U.S. Air Force Capt. Scott O’Grady was shot down over Bosnia by a Bosnian Serb SA-6 missile while enforcing the NATO no-fly zone. His F-16 torn apart, he ejected into hostile territory. For six long days, O’Grady evaded enemy patrols in rugged hills, surviving on rainwater, bugs, leaves and sheer willpower. No food. Constant threat of capture. Radio silence most of the time. On June 8, he made contact. Marines from the 24th MEU launched from the USS Kearsarge: two CH-53 Sea Stallions with 51 Marines, escorted by AH-1W Cobras, Harriers and dozens of supporting aircraft. They flew deep into enemy territory under threat of fire. O’Grady sprinted from the treeline, pistol in hand, mud-caked and exhausted, straight into the helicopter. Mission complete in minutes. No U.S. losses. This was classic American resolve: an Air Force pilot saved by Marines, backed by overwhelming joint force coordination. It showed the world we leave no one behind. With yesterday’s daring recovery of the F-15E crew member from the Zagros Mountains in Iran, another high-risk CSAR op involving special operators and massive air support, the O’Grady story feels especially relevant. Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.
