🌍What does this mean for crypto tax policy? Our findings show that national reporting measures alone won’t solve crypto tax evasion—investors just move crypto elsewhere. Even CARF and DAC8 have to ensure coordination otherwise crypto evasion would still prevail.

Key Finding #2: Not only investors are non-compliant, but they are adapting to the increased transparency. Crypto investors of domestic crypto platforms moved their holdings to foreign platforms outside regulatory reach after the transparency measure.

💡Interesting Finding : Crypto ownership is less concentrated among the top wealthy compared to stocks. While 77% of stock wealth is held by the top 10%, for crypto, this figure is just 39%—showing broader participation across wealth groups.
