“Tay Grover”…. Remember the name. It’s his first year of wrestling and he has only wrestled for 4 months and placed 3rd at Iowa AAU Kids State this weekend. The kid has a bright future.

Our final team award is the hardest worker in the room award, as voted by their teammates. The 2022-2023 Hardest Worker is @J_Hilly7. Congrats, Jax! You don't shine under the bright lights without doing the work in the dark. Thanks for setting a new standard for our program!

Our second team award is the Golden Monarch, given annually to a student-athlete who does things the right way and represents our school in a positive way, embodying what it means to live with Monarch Pride. The 2022-2023 Golden Monarch is Jayden Bradley. Congrats, Jayden!

Honoring 32 wrestlers who finished the season, 2 managers, and 3 seniors at our end of the season banquet tonight. With double-digit freshmen, the future of the program is brighter than it has been in a long time!

Jaxs is the standard for our wrestling programs. Progression on and off the mat over four years through a tireless work ethic and pursuit of his goals. He got to the podium not because of what he did when people were watching, but because of what he did when they weren’t.
